St George Transmission & Automotive

We were on a two-car trip from Arizona to Seattle when every warning light on our Subaru Forester started flashing. It happened at a very difficult time and place, about 150 miles east of St. George and in a snow storm. We stopped in Kanab for an engine test and were told that the transmission had developed a problem that would disable the All-Wheel-Drive. We were told that driving to St. George would not cause further damage to the transmission but the snow storm, without all-wheel-drive, resulted in a very cautious drive to St. George. We called ahead to St. George Transmission and they were familiar with that particular Subaru problem and they had the parts in stock. We decided that our other car, a Ford Transit 350 van handled even worse than the Subaru so while St. George Transmission fixed the Subaru, we had Snow tires put on the van. We have fond memories of St. George and, especially of St. George Transmission. They made our Forester safe to drive, even though the snow storm got worse as we drove on to Seattle.

Everyone here has been so kind and so knowledgeable!!! We took in my son's car and they gave us an honest bid, after we had been to two other shops that weren't! They have been fast and efficient!!! I will continue to take my cars here and would highly recommend!!

Local Ford dealership diagnosed my vehicle's problem as rear end clutch issue. Replacement of clutch pack to the tune of $4600. No other option available. Feeling overwhelmed i decided for a second opinion. Folks at SGTA agreed with original diagnosis but came up with a much better solution. It's called Friction Modifier and is added to rear diff. Ford even recommends this in online reviews. $67 later I have a silent and rumble free car. Kudos to these guys for their help.

Grear customer service let me know step by step what was going on and got the job done pretty damn quickly compared to my previous experience with other mechanic shops so thank you keep up the great work.
